Timianhaven

Timianhaven (Thyme garden) in Havdrup is built in CLT, cross laminated timber. The 44 units range between 42m2 and 105m2, and between one and two storeys.

The residents of the non-profit project has a community house as well.

 

Timianhaven is first housing to use CLT

The contractor preferred CLT, laminated wood elements in solid wood. The project has become a first to use the material for housing in Denmark.

Site plan

Housing blocks are placed perpendicular to the street and positioned in pairs that each share a green courtyard space planted with fruit trees. The courtyard offer the access to each unit as well as a shared outdoor space

Facades are brick shells and lark

A skylights supplies daylight  generously and adds to the spatial experience
