Co-living in Værløse

Residential community

The residential community consists of 33 owner-occupied homes, distributed across 5 different types with numerous variations.

The community formed an association and organized an architectural competition in 1979. Vandkunsten won the invitation-based competition.

The site is a sloping natural plot, and the 33 homes of the community are situated along two residential lanes that follow the terrain and lead up to the communal house at the top of the plot. There are private balconies facing the residential lanes, while shared green spaces extend up to the main entrance.

The communal house at the top

The communal house in the collective housing community is located at the highest point of the site and forms a corner in the small residential street.

The shared green areas extend all the way up to the houses in the collective housing community.

Each residence in the collective housing community has a private balcony facing the residential street. Each residence in the collective housing community has a private balcony facing the residential street.
