The two  parallel morning workshops/

Integrated Dynamic Digital Tools.
May 18, 8.30 am- 12:am

Instructors: Kristoffer Negendahl (DTU/BIG Engineering) and DTU PhD students.

You will have a chance to work with integrated dynamic tools. On the basis of Revit or Rhino models indoor climate/energy/LCA/ structural performance is added. The potential is that it is possible to see the consequences of a design decisions during the process.

Learning objectives: to have a basic knowledge of integrated dynamic tools and how it can inform your own design processes.

Software is installed at DTU computers (building 116), where the workshop takes place.

Price: 600 dkk (covers materials, honorarium to instructors, bustransport from and to BLOX and refreshments).

Social Sustainability & the built environment
May 18, 8.30 am-12:am

Instructors: Jan Schipull of Vandkunsten Architects, Henriette Ejstrup (KADK); White Arkitekter, Sofie Kirt Strandbygaard (DTU), Liane Thuvander and Paula Feminias (Chalmers).

Of the three areas of sustainability defined by Brundtland (Social, Economic, and Environmental sustainability) it is social sustainability that is hardest to quantify and systematize. This also makes it hard to develop digital tools that can facilitate this. However, this does not mean that it is impossible.

This workshop will take place in a bus (pick-up at 8.30 at BLOX). From here the workshop goes to different urban districts in Copenhagen, where participants will have an opportunity to try the methods they were introduced to by the instructors during the drive.

Learning objectives: to know the principles of state-of-the-art work with social sustainability in the built environment. To know what SAVE, POE, CPTED is and how it can inform your own work.

Price: 600 dkk (covers materials, honorarium to instructors, bustransport from and to BLOX and refreshments).

A maximum of 40 participants.
